Data Protection Information for Applicants
Purposes of Data Processing
We process your personal data for the purpose of reviewing and handling your application.
Legal Basis
We process your personal data in order to assess whether we can enter into an employment contract with you (contract initiation, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Section 26(1) BDSG).
Categories of Personal Data
As a rule, we only process data about you that you have provided to us yourself, primarily in your application documents and during the interview.
Recipients
Your data will be viewed and processed internally. In addition, we use service providers to support us in the application process. If you provide us with your data by email, our IT service providers may also have access to it (for example, during maintenance and support). However, these service providers are contractually and legally obliged to maintain confidentiality. We also use IT and cloud service providers whose subcontractors/parent companies are based in the USA. These are generally TADPF-certified. If not, the legal basis for the transfer to third countries is the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Source of the Data
As a rule, you have provided us with your data. In addition, we occasionally receive data from recruitment agencies and agents.
Storage Period
We will store your personal data for as long as it is required for the purposes mentioned above and as long as statutory retention periods require this.
If we are unable to enter into an employment contract with you, we will generally delete the data 6 months after the end of the application process.
If we do enter into an employment contract with you, we will transfer the necessary data to your personnel file. In this case, we will inform you in a separate letter about the further handling of your data.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
As a data subject, you have the following rights, provided the legal requirements are met:
Right of access, Art. 15 GDPR
Right to rectification, Art. 16 GDPR
Right to erasure, Art. 17 GDPR
Right to restriction of processing, Art. 18 GDPR
Right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR
Right to object, Art. 21 GDPR
If the processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent to the processing of your data at any time with effect for the future, in whole or in part.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your data.
Provision of Data
You provide us with your data voluntarily. However, in order for us to properly review your application and suitability, it is essential that you provide certain data. If you do not wish to provide the required data, we will unfortunately not be able to consider your application.
